💛💛💛💛💛-5*

This book gripped me from the start. Not only because it is written in the surrounding areas of my own hometown, but because it is superbly written and the plot just got better and better.
A permit is granted to excavate a field beside an old children's home, leading to human remains being discovered and old employees suddenly picked off one by one. Kim Stone and the team are on the case to figure out what secrets are worth killing for.
In addition to being a dedicated and passionate police officer, D.I. Kim Stone's character is so intriguing and memorable. It was easy for me to think like her, and I liked her a lot. She is one of my favourite crime-leading ladies.
I had to give this 5* because the pace is enjoyable, straight into the action and it doesn't slow down. There were some answers I worked out, but not all, so I was very satisfied with this book. The book is fantastic, regardless of whether you're a fan of crime.
