Don't Let The Devil Know Your Name ~ Amy Cross

💛💛💛 - 3*

Don't look at my 3* review and be put off. This plot is superb and has horror, gore and violence.

Merrick is a retired police officer. He spends most of his time pottering about the house and gardens. Dealing with bad guys is in his past. Until a girl is found brutally murdered. Merrick is drawn back into action. A video starts circulating, showing the girl's agonizing final moments, and Merrick can't help but watch. Over and over again. Merrick realizes that he has to do something. The police investigation is too slow, and he has already figured out who murdered the girl. Worried that the killer might strike again, Merrick decides that he has to take matters into his own hands. But his well-laid plans quickly spiral out of control, and Merrick soon finds that the lines between right and wrong, are blurred.

All in all, I give this a 3*. I love novels with twists and turns and unfortunately, this story had none. I was severely put off by the grammatical errors but also the storyline itself was hugely predictable.
