(no more) #MundaneMondays ~ No more misery!

Mondays can be so mundane, let's face it. However, below I have listed some tips to help you shake it off and cheer up your start to the week.


  1. Get one task ticked off your list. You will feel better knowing you have accomplished something.

  2. Declutter. Even if it is just the smallest space, you will feel your mind is clearer if your space is clearer.

  3. Listen to your favourite, upbeat music. I have written about how music can help soothe the soul and change your mood in a previous blog post.

  4. Spend time with someone close to you. This can be a friend or family or even someone you have not seen for a long time.

  5. Go for a walk. How walking can help clear your mind and replenish your internal strength is something I have also written about previously.

  6. Do less. If your schedule is full today, cut it in half. You don't need to do everything in one day. Slow down and breathe.

  7. Be present. Instead of trying to focus on something else, bring your attention back to where you are, what you are doing, and who you are with right now. Things that have already happened cannot be changed, and obsessing over them does not help. It is impossible to predict the future, so worrying about it will also do you no good. Be in the moment, and live as if you only have this moment.
