This story was another tough one to put down. Twists and turns keep you gripped all the way through. This is one of those books that I carried into the kitchen with me to boil pasta and make cups of tea. It takes you on a chilling ride, and when you think you’ve figured everything out, the revelations just keep coming! The characters all have certain elements that want you to route for them.

Finn and Mia purchase a house that was abandoned for many years. Mia is pregnant and they’ve been staying with Finn’s parents—Debbie and Dave—and it has been a nightmare for Mia. Debbie can be described as a Monster-in-Law. While renovating the house, they discover suitcases in the attic, inside there are dead bodies. Mia has an accident which causes her to go into labour early and they’re stuck with the in-laws indefinitely.

I gave this 4* purely because I figured out the ending before it happened. That doesn't mean that this isn't worth a read. It most definitely is. It is well written and the storyline has everything a thriller is expected to have.
